DENTISTRY ≠ BARGAIN SHOPPING

Choosing a dentist should never be about “Who is the cheapest?”
It should be about “Who is doing what is right for me?”

Lately, I’ve noticed a growing trend—patients comparing dental treatments mainly based on price.
And I understand why.
Healthcare costs matter. Everyone wants affordable treatment.
But in dentistry, cheap and ethical are not always the same thing.
Let me explain 👇
Ethical dentistry focuses on:
✔ Correct diagnosis
✔ Long-term treatment planning
✔ Quality materials
✔ Proper sterilization & safety protocols
✔ Honest communication about options
Cheap dentistry often focuses on:
❌ Quick fixes instead of long-term solutions
❌ Compromised material quality
❌ Skipping essential diagnostic steps
❌ Treatments that may need repeat correction
Here’s the reality many patients don’t realize:
A cheaper treatment that fails early
often becomes more expensive, more painful, and more complicated later.
Good dentistry is not about selling expensive treatments.
It’s about recommending the right treatment for each patient.
Sometimes that treatment is simple.
Sometimes it’s advanced.
But it should always be ethical.
As dentists, our responsibility is not just to treat teeth—
it’s to protect trust.
And as patients, it’s okay to ask:
👉 Why is this treatment recommended?
👉 What are the alternatives?
👉 What happens if I delay treatment?
Transparent conversations create better outcomes.
